As a Patron and Guest Artiste of Cork City Ballet, I would like to take this opportunity to encourage individuals and companies, sponsors and patrons alike, to follow and support the outstanding efforts of the company, which despite limited resources, continues to put Cork’s name at the forefront of international ballet.

MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT MICHAEL D. HIGGINSI am delighted to send my best wishes to Cork City Ballet as they celebrate another magnificent production of ‘Swan Lake’ at Cork Opera House.
Alan Foley is revered by generations of Irish ballet students but also by the many people who owe their love and appreciation of ballet to him. His devotion to the art of dance and his generous sharing of that devotion through his performances, choreography and dedication to developing new talent is something which we should be deeply appreciative of.
I know that there have been many celebrations of his incredible achievements during many years of Ireland’s longest running professional ballet company. This performance of ‘Swan Lake’ is a great culmination of those celebrations and a fitting tribute to Alan and the dancers and staff at Cork City Ballet.
